ADDIS ABABA MAY 1963

Commemorates the founding of the Organization of African Unity which made its headquarters in Addis Ababa. The meeting was held in Africa Hall, within the U.N. complex.

Obverse:
Headquarters building of the United Nation's Economic Commision for Africa. Inscription in English above and continued below "CONFERENCE OF HEADS OF AFRICAN STATES ADDIS ABABA MAY 1963"

Reverse:
Crown with St. George symbol over royal monogram of Haile Selassie, six-pointed star above, wreath surrounding, small "T" below.
